Port is an aged wine that is produced by the blending of many vintage years, of several varieties of red grapes, and fortified with clear brandy. Ports are handcrafted using century-old methods. Ruby Port undergoes minimal aging and is dark and sweet. Tawny Port is aged for many years (as long as 30 or more), and is light and soft. There are many other classifications of Port, depending on the types of grapes used and the amount of time they are aged. Vintage Port is the most expensive.
